My sweet, sweet boy, the boy who made me a mama, I was so happy to celebrate and make your 4th birthday special. Buddy, you continue to melt my heart with your own tender heart. You are kind, curious, and smart. Your enthusiasm for life is contagious! At the age of four, you love dinosaurs, Curious George, building with legos, playing outside, riding your bike, going to preschool, and your brother and sisters. Little things make you so very excited, like the garbage truck, a bird eating out of one of our feeders, and having a snacky lunch! You have proven to be the best big brother and are so helpful to your mama. I am so very proud of you and love you very much.
We started out the day with streamers and balloons on your door. You LOVED it of course!
We made a special breakfast of banana pancakes (your favorite), eggs, and fruit. Your dad even got you a hot chocolate from Starbucks!
We opened gifts right after breakfast. You were so excited and loved everything we gave you . . . you are very easy to please!
My sweet four-year-old!
You had swim lessons on your birthday!
After you came home, we tested out your new roller blades!
Melt my heart!
After naps, it was party time!! You had "forest party"! Our idea was to set up tents in the backyard with twinkle lights strung from the trees, BUT, it was a very cold, wet day. So instead you played with all your cousins inside and had a blast!
We had chili, fruit, veggies, and chips! Yum!
Cake time! You chose "mud" cake for your dessert- what you've had every year since your second birthday.
You've perfected blowing out your candles :)
Opening gifts was fun . . . you got a lot of fun stuff!
The grandmas were happy to hold your sisters . . .
. . . and the girls loved your balloons!
After opening gifts, you and your cousins headed to the basement with binoculars and compasses to go on a bug hunt. Overall, I think you had a BLAST on your 4th birthday! Nothing makes this mama more happy than to see my kids happy. And I'm so glad you had a happy day!
Happy day, happy year, happy always and ever!
Love you so very, very much!
Mommy
