It didn't take long for both boys to fall asleep after leaving the hotel on Tuesday morning- our busy days started to catch up with them! We headed to the San Diego Zoo Safari! It was AMAZING!!! If you ever find yourself needing to chose between the zoo and the safari- go with the safari!!! The park was beautiful and the animals were stunning!

My favorite animal I didn't know existed- the Okapi. Cross between a zebra and horse?!?!
We took a bus tour through the grasslands to get a closer look at some of the animals (this one was successful with Charlie as he had a chance to run around for a bit AND he had a snack trap in hand!).
So majestic! After spending several hours at the zoo, we headed back to the beach. Henry was snoozing in the car so Tom took Charlie to a park for a bit. After H woke up, I noticed his big toe was looking really red and infected- he stepped on something at the beach our first day. So instead of the beach, we made a quick trip to the ER. He was put on an antibiotic and ordered to soak his foot in epson salt. So no beach that day :(. BUT, we hadn't swam in the hotel pool yet so that was a close second!
We missed swimming lesson while gone, so we did our own version in the pool! :)
While I gave baths, Tom picked up delicious Mexican food from Old Town (and refilled our growlers!!!). So another great day in San Diego!
