Our trip to San Diego was a success!!! We had so much fun! We had some much-needed quality family time and, though, it didn't come without some challenges, overall, it was a fantastic time! I use this blog as a little "memory book" for my family so you are about to see A LOT of pics- but I'm breaking it into the five days we were there so not to overwhelm! :) Above, pic of the boys in their airplane shirts and snack traps full of cereal as we left bright and early Saturday morning!
The plane ride to San Diego was eventful!!! A.K.A., Charlie proved to be a handful (he looks so innocent in the picture, though, doesn't he?!?!). Lots of snacks, books, singing, coloring, etc. made the three and a half hours go by oh-so-quickly (read = of-so-slowly!!).
Henry and dad entertained themselves playing Legos, of course!
We hit the beach right after we landed! Charlie LOVED every bit of the beach! He loved the sand, water, waves, rocks, seaweed, etc.
Henry, however, preferred to stay away from the water, waves, seaweed, etc. because, "The waves are too big. The seaweed is too gweesy (greasy!). I just stay here by the rocks, mom."
He did love the rocks!!
Eventually, we coaxed Henry to at least get his feet wet. He was okay with it as long as we weren't near the gweesy seaweed!
After a quick dinner in the hotel, we all were in bed by 8 (really 10 MN time!). All my worrying about how the boys would sleep didn't matter as we wore them out so much each day (and they missed many a nap!), they went right to sleep each night.
